Thank you for purchasing your woody stem plants from Tom’s Garden Center. We take great pride in searching out, finding, and making available, the finest Oregon grown plant material from some of the best growers for you, our customers.
Tom’s Garden Center guarantee’s that the plants you have purchased are of the best quality and healthiest plants available.
Because Tom’s Garden Center cannot control the watering, fertilizing, or growing conditions of the plants once they leave our premises, we cannot guarantee these plants to perform in any particular way.
If the plant or plants that you have purchased are deciduous, meaning “plants that lose their leaves during the winter dormant months”, and were purchased during the dormant season prior to the plant or plants leafing out, Tom’s Garden Center will guarantee that your plant or plants will leaf out and begin to grow as they should. No further guarantee would be offered from that point forward.
To minimize any shock from transplanting and to give your newly planted plant material a healthy boost, Tom’s Garden Center recommends that, until your new plant material is planted, you stay very vigilant as to watering your plant adequately to prevent your plant from drying out. Secondly, once the planting hole has been dug and the appropriate mulches have been added, we suggest applying Tom’s Transplanting Blend containing Bone Meal, Mycorrhizal Fungi, Humic Acid and a slow release Fertilizer to the bottom of the planting hole and, using your shovel, stir it into the soil until it’s uniformly distributed. Tom’s Transplanting Blend is a superior blend designed to reduce transplant
shock and develop new root growth without burning.
Plant your plant into it’s hole and stake and tie your plant if need be. Once your plants have been planted, Tom’s Garden Center recommends watering in your plants thoroughly using “Fertilome’s Root Stimulator” mixed with water. Fertilome’s Root Stimulator is a root hormone designed to reduce transplant shock and promote new feeder root growth.
Now all you will need to do for the first summer is to adequately deep root water your plants until the fall rains begin.
Thank you and happy planting,
Tom Krupicka
